This policy explains the cookies and related technologies used by mobilecomputers.net. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text record that a website asks a browser to store. Cookies can keep a user signed in, remember preferences, measure site use, or support advertising. Similar technologies can include local browser storage and advertising identifiers.
Cookies used now
Normal anonymous browsing does not currently require a Mobile Computers cookie. WordPress uses necessary cookies on the login and administration screens to test cookie support, authenticate administrators, protect sessions, and remember administration preferences. These cookies are needed for site management and are not used for advertising.
Public accounts, shopping, subscriptions, and comments are not enabled. The contact form and WP Statistics do not currently place analytics or marketing cookies in a visitor’s browser. WP Statistics performs server-side measurement as described in the Privacy Policy.
Advertising cookies
Google AdSense is not active at the date of this policy. The visible advertisement panels are placeholders.
If AdSense is enabled later, Google and third-party advertising vendors may place or read cookies and use web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to serve, limit, and measure ads. Advertising may use information about visits to this and other sites. Mobile Computers will update this policy, identify or link to the vendors then in use, and provide the consent choices required for the visitor’s region before those technologies are enabled. Google explains this processing in its partner-sites policy. Personalized advertising can be managed at Google Ads Settings, and visitors can opt out of some participating vendors at YourAdChoices.
Embedded services
The site does not currently load third-party video, social-media, analytics, or advertising embeds on ordinary pages. If such a service is added, it may set its own cookies or receive the visitor’s IP address and browser details. This policy and any consent controls will be updated when needed.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let users inspect, delete, or block cookies. The steps vary by browser. Blocking necessary WordPress cookies can prevent administrator sign-in, but it should not prevent ordinary reading of the collection. Very old browsers may offer fewer controls.
No cookie consent banner is displayed because the site does not currently set analytics or advertising cookies for ordinary visitors. Before non-essential cookies are enabled, a consent system will be added where required. Its privacy settings link will provide another way to review or change choices.
Changes and contact
This policy will be revised if the site starts using advertising, analytics cookies, embedded services, public accounts, comments, or other cookie-based features. Questions can be sent through the Contact page.
